On July 12, we honor our Illustrious Founder, Dr. Bessie Mae Downey Rhoades Martin, born 125 years ago on July 12, 1900.

As the youngest of six, a proud Indianapolis native, and a dedicated educator for over 25 years, she exemplified excellence in all she did. Her legacy continues to live on through our commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, and service.
